G-M.A.C.C. Inc Hosted Their 2nd Annual Black Tie Fundraiser: The Gangsta Gala

Last week, for the second year in a row, Shanduke McPhatter and his grass root organization G-M.A.C.C. Inc. (Gangstas Making Astronomical Community Changes Inc.) successfully hosted their annual black tie fundraiser: The Gangsta Gala at the illustrious Sand Castle.


The night started off with a complementary cocktail hour and silent auction, while guests dined on an array of specialty hors d’oeuvres, bidding for their favorite sports memorabilia. Following cocktail hour, patrons were lead into the grand ballroom where they were greeted with an opening anecdote from Shanetta McPhatter: Shanduke’s twin sister.

Hosts Tamika Mallory & Mysonne Linen, lead the evening by first honoring Man Up! Inc.’s own Pharaoh Ferguson, the recipient of the G-M.A.C.C. Inc. Advocate Award. The evening continued with the honoring of Chicago based advocates Marcus McAllister & Cobe Williams, as they both received the 2017 Gangsta Award.

Tamika & Mysonne honored Rev. Dr. Alfonso Wyatt & Eric L Cumberbatch with the G-M.A.C.C. Inc. Spiritual Community Leader Award and the G-M.A.C.C. Inc. Community Vanguard Award (respectively).

Lastly, G-M.A.C.C. Inc. honored the incomparable Reverend Dr. Herbert Daughtry, with his inaugural “Reverend Daughtry Award. Upon receipt, Reverend Dr. Daughtry gave a moving and inspiring speech thanking everyone for their continued efforts towards the upliftment of our communities.

Before the close of the evening, Shanduke received a special surprise, as he was gifted with the “Brooklyn Borough Hall Citation” for G-M.A.C.C. Inc. 

A night filled with food, fun, and fundraising; The 2nd Annual Gangsta Gala turned out to be an absolute success.
