Food With Friends has partnered with KaNu Dance Theater to provide a special dinner and a show event this weekend in Long Beach.
The one of a kind event takes you on a journey through the Haitian culture, with cuisine, art, dance and so much more. The start of the event opens with appetizers and dinner by author and food curator Nadeem Fleurimond. She will be presenting a workshop on how to prepare some of her delicious appetizers. The drink menu will be provided by SommelierRonny Jaramillo.
While you enjoy your dinner, KaNu Dance Theater will be debuting their newest work, “Resurfacing From The Dust” a piece exploring the mourning and healing process of Haiti and it’s people from the January 12th, 2010 earthquake. Choreographed by Jessica St Vil featuring poet and spoken word artist Michele Voltaire Marcelin, and world renowned percussionist Markus Schwartz.
This will be a one of a kind experience and celebration of Haitian Heritage, food and culture.
