Facebook launches a new app called “Lifestage” that is only for students under the age of 21 years old. It brings back the original concept of Facebook when it was launched in 2004, where you had to sign up with your school. This new app allows students to be more interactive with each other through video. For their bio section, instead of writing it, they can take videos showing what it is with its questionnaire. It asks questions like what’s your happy face, sad face, best friend, favorite pet and more which you have to show with video. If you wanted to be in contact with your classmate, it has a “reach me” option for you to follow them on instagram, snapchat, or other ways of contacting that individual. It also has a report page if they feel that there are inappropriate people are using the app.
What do you think about this new app? Will it enhance the student interaction or make it worst? Or is this a way to track every student in the school that is on it? Hmmm….
