On Saturday, June 18th, we had the privilege to attend the 2nd annual Dribble Against Cancer Charity (DACC) celebrity basketball event held at St. Joseph College in Brooklyn, NYC. The event was presented by Big and Little Skills Academy, Inc. and Les Express Inc. The event was organized by professional basketball player Jamael Lynch, owner of the academy and partner with Les Express Inc. Some celebrities in attendance were actor Marc John Jefferies, Maino, Lil’ Mama, Comedian & contributor of the Wendy Williams’ show Charlie Wilson , Stuff Fly People Like Co- Creater Rae Holliday, and VH1’s Love and Hip Hop star Chrissy Monroe. Proceeds of this event will go towards cancer research, foster care unplugged, Les Express and Big and Little Skills Academy, Inc.
After interviewing some of the participants of the event, we found that most have been affected in one way or another by cancer and/or the foster care system. Watch some of the interviews myself and co-media correspondent Waldo conducted below:
