Tomorrow, @OtherFestival Will Celebrate Female Makers and Creators! Get Your Tickets Now!

There’s a new festival in town and it is one like no other! The Other Festival is all about highlighting and celebrating female makers and creators. The event will feature talks, demos, workshops and music designed to educate and inspire. The Other Festival will be held tomorrow, June 11th, from 10:15am to 11pm.

The Other Festival was founded by Dee Poku-Spalding, who is a social entrepreneur born in the UK and raised between London and Accra. She’s a former Hollywood studio executive and the founder of WIE (Women Inspiration and Enterprise), a social enterprise that works to provide emerging women leaders with the tools to succeed in their careers. She began her career in brand marketing and promotions.

However, while attending a major festival in 2015, she saw an endless array of all male bands, while desperately trying to find food even marginally healthier than deep fried cheesy French Fries, she knew there had to be a better way. This is when the inception of The Other Festival was created.

For this festival, a few of the key speakers of the day will be Naomi Campbell(model/actress), Beverly Bond (Founder of Black Girls Rock), Rosario Dawson (actress), and many more! You can see the full list of speakers  and music performers below or click here: http://www.theotherfestival.co/ .
