Rahway, New Jersey native Travis Taylor really wowed the audience with his vocal ability at his most recent performance in New York City. I stood front and center at The Sol Village Artist Showcase as he anointed the audience with his amazing voice. Keeping true to his heavenly roots, Taylor started the night off with the gospel classic “He Keeps On Doing Great Things To Me” by Andre Crouch, exhibiting his profound vocal range for the attendees. He later segwayed into Musiq Soulchild’s hit song “Love”, where he was able to embody the R&B classic and performance a unique rendition for the SOB’s crowd. Taylor finished the night off performing a lively, upbeat version of Superstitious by Stevie Wonder. Through this performance not only was he able to show off his magnificent range yet again, but the message was clear to me and everyone else at the showcase that Travis Taylor is a force to be reckoned with.
Travis Taylor’s vocal ability has enabled him to sing background for the likes of Kurt Carr, Kim Burrell, Richard Smallwood, Josh Groban, Jasmine Sullivan, and Celine Dion. He has been able to tour and sing all around the world in places like London, China, Russia and Trinidad. To add on to his already impressive resume, he is also the first male vocalist ever to sing “Amazing Grace” in Burma, Asia and he has also been featured on The Apprentice, MTV, VH1, and David Letterman. Taylor also just wrapped up touring with songstress Tamar Braxton. He can currently be seen on the hit reality show “Tamar and Vince “ on W.E. t.v .
