Spotlight Friday’s: @LaticeCrawford: The Epitome Of A Gospel Artist

Gospel Artist Latice Crawford had the SOB’s crowd in awe as her graceful voice filled the atmosphere at her most recent performance in the Big Apple.   At the Sol Village Artist Showcase, Latice showed off her incredible singing range, and displayed illustrious stage presence that drew in the crowd even more to her performance.  While Crawford’s performance at the showcase was one that was quite memorable, her unmistaken talents as a gospel artist gained recognition  far before she blessed the SOB’s stage.

In 2009, Latice gained exposure on a wide scale as a breakout artist on BET’s Sunday Best. Overcoming social anxiety disorder, Latice took a leap of faith by traveling to  Atlanta  and  auditioning for the popular competition series. As Latice recalls, “I could hear God saying, ‘you can choose what I’m giving you to do, or choose what you want to do’.” Over the course of the series, Latice wowed the judges with her vocal abilitiy, most notably with her rendition of the James Cleveland classic, “Peace Be Still.”  Latice became a top three finalist during the second season of the series, and as a result, doors began to open for her.

Since the show, the Billboard charting singer has released her self titled debut album, starred in her own reality series, and has shared her ministry on stages all over the country including The Stellar Awards, Bobby Jones Gospel, and The Essence Festival. Latice has been invited as a special guest for  Marvin Sapp’s and Mary Mary’s tours.

Latice has released her new single entitled “Author” which is currently being played on the radio.  The single will be available for purchase in stores March 11th.  Be sure to purchase her EP when it drops in the spring. It will definitely be a hot one! We will update you on the release of her EP.
