The last installment of the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay Part II, officially hit theaters on Friday, November 20th, 2015. I had taken the liberty in catching the movie before all those ‘spoiler’ fans could ruin it for me, and I conclude that it was the perfect ending to a seemingly never-ending storm.
I do not know if I am just a little slow in the curve or not, but the element of ‘epic love’ similarly displayed in movies like The Notebook and Titanic, was very transparent through this last sequel.
Similar to Mockingjay Part I, there are additional unexpected murder casualties of characters that in addition to “Catniss” played by Jennifer Lawrence, we have grown to love and would hate to watch go so sadistically.
Director of the last three installments of The Hunger Games, Francis Lawrence, displayed very beautiful shots in scenes that will prove to be timeless compared to other science-fiction action movies that will come after.
There were not many action scenes through out Part II, but strangely as a viewer, it was okay. Everytime there was an action scene, a pivotal character died, and that I hated, so I practically wished for more dialogue. Clearly, that is a good compliment for Francis.
