[New Music] Rehearsal @WongTunes

rehearsal cover

Artist WongTuNe$ officially released the mixtape Rehearsal on January 7th, 2014.

This is the second work from the Queens bred lyricist, and samples beats from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Taio Cruz, Outkast and more.  The tape also features original songs produced by WongTuNe$ such as the single Good As Gold, Champion and Red Room. Throughout the tape you find features from talented Regime Music Group artists such as Army, Trizzy, and Angie, and producers such as Hotsun Breeze and Scott Craig.

TuNe$ opens up on this tape, letting us into his life, mind and music.  Narrating the tape is a young adolescent TuNe$, as we travel on a journey through situations about life’s negative temptations, money, education and love.  On songs like Started and Remember the Rain, TuNe$ shares his tribulations growing up and trying to stay on a path of positivity.  And TuNe$ shows us a different side of him, tapping into his Jamaican roots, on the track Bad Man and Bad Mind, which is definitely a banger.

The structure on this album was well thought out, almost like a story line.  Each song leads into the next and flows well for easy listening.  He definitely displays his growth as an artist.  His clever lyrics are full of double entendres and his versatile sound demonstrate his genuineness and originality.  He is heading down a great path as an artist and we’re looking forward to more from him in the future.

Take a listen and download Rehearsal below. Tell us what you think.
